Tecnico Hardware / Data Recovery Engineer

 

You will work on customer damaged supports (e.g. hard disk, memory cards) your activity is to make the support still working and have access to data. In order to do that you will follow the technical procedures defined by the company and only in few cases you will be asked to develop new methodologies.


You will work on hardware and electronics NO SOFTWARE DEVELOPMENT is required for this position. You will not work on data structure/file-system. In your position you will run several data recoveries in parallel. Problems must be quickly fixed, our customer needs data back in few hours.

 

Your responsibilities working in our Clean Room will be:

 

  • Receiving and shipping data storage media

  • Imaging various types of customer media for Data Recovery

  • Repairing mechanical and electronic failures on customers´ storage devices

  • Providing backup copies of storage media

  • Purchasing spare parts and organizing spare part storage

  • Communication with Sales and Technical departments in Italy or abroad

  • Maintenance of existing Hardware and Software equipment

  • Implementation and optimization of processes and procedures

Our requirements for this position:

 

  • Technical background, e.g. technician or electronics engineer

  • Professional experiences in electronic and precision mechanical work

  • Profound knowledge of Operating Systems

  • Structured and process oriented approach to work

  • Very good analytical skills

  • Good English language skills

  • Ability to work independently

  • Available for on-call shifts

We offer full time permanent position CCNL Commercio Impiegato 1o or 2o livello (based on experience).
